This boundary includes all parcels currently served as adopted by City Council motion on March 22, 1998, as well as those recently annexed into the system by City Council action on February 8, 2005 and April 26, 2005. Parcels within the County's Urban Services Line and within the Santa Cruz City Limits are considered inside the Water Service Area. Parcels outside the City Limits are only included if they already have water service from the City's water system. Parcels outside the Water Service Area require City Council action to be added into the service area and to receive water service. To formally define the extents of the City's Water Service Area. Water Service Area boundary was converted from an AutoCad drawing prepared by SCWD staff. The boundary was reviewed and adopted by Santa Cruz City Council on September 22, 2006 and LAFCO on November 1, 2006. On May 13, 2008, City Council approved the annexation of 3000 Branciforte Drive into the Water Service Area. The map was not resubmitted to LAFCO for approval at that time. Minor revisions to the service area boundary were required to match adjustments in the County Assessor's parcel boundaries that have occurred since the 2006 LAFCO-approved revision.
